Côte de Beaune

The ARBELET family have been important vineyard owners in Aloxe-Corton since the 19th century, during which time they owned prime sites on the hill of Corton. Franck FOLLIN, currently in charge of the estate, is the first member of the family to be fully involved in production from vine to bottle.

Franck left a promising career as a geologist to join his father-in-law, André MASSON, a former director of the Hospices de Beaune, in the family domaine. Franck’s first commercial bottlings came in 1992 and he has gone from strength to strength making wines of purity and stature.

Viti/Viniculture :
Franck is a purist in his methods, and with a geologists veneration, takes to task the fullest expression of the beloved terroir of the precious vineyards he tends. The vines are tended 100% manually, with no use of herbicides or pesticides. All wine stays in contact with its skins for 3 to 5 days for maximum extract, in addition, caps are punched down during fermentation for even further extraction. All wine is aged in barrel for at least 15 months.
